Gadri Resto in Yogyakarta
Gadri Resto is a restaurant with Yogyakarta Traditional Concept located at “nDalem Joyokusuman” in Yogyakarta Sultan Palace. nDalem Joyokusuman as part of the Ngayogyakarto Hadiningrat Sultanate is one of the tourism object which is design with good quality of architecture and function as Javanese House. Besides, this is also history witness in time of Indonesian State Repuplic, now this house is the residence of Exchequer Prince Gusti Haryo Haji Joyokusumo and his family. Prince Gusti Haryo Haji Joyokusumo is one of the sons of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX with his wife Kanjeng Raden Ayu Windyaningrum. And he is one of the sibling of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X (that is crowned now). nDalem Joyokusuman was built in 1916, as the willing of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono VIII to arrange the front sector of the Ngayogyakarto Hadiningrat Sultanate. This building firstly was used as the residence of (deceased) KRT Condrokusumo, he is the nephew of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono VII. Later, this house was handed down to (decease) Exchequer Prince Gusti Haryo Bintoro, a little brother of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX (he assume as a Consulate General of Indonesian Republic in Ontario). Gadri Resto at nDalem Joyokusuman is nationally even internationally known as restaurant which is provide all the Sultan’s favorite menu and Sultan’s creation traditional dance, even souvenir and snacks. This aim to preserve and exploit the culture of Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat as part of Indonesian culture.
